Q. When can I buy the next two lighthouses in the series? New Dungeness Light Station and Seguin Island Lighthouse.

A. Unfortunately, this year 2010, Walmart did not carry Christmas village products, including these lighthouses. Considering this, we did not produce the lighthouses this year. We are hopeful these products will be purchased by the retailer next year.

We realize many of you may have been collecting these lighthouses since 2005, when first introduced. Thank you for your support and being an avid collector. We at Fourstar Group enjoy bringing these product to collectors and working with the various lighthouse staff on the prototypes and historical information included on the box of each lighthouse.

You may wish to voice your concerns directly to Walmart’s main office, by calling 479-273-4000 and asking for the Christmas village buyer. Or writing to: Walmart, 702 SW 8th St., Bentonville, AR 72716. It may help if consumers, such as yourself, inform Walmart directly that you have been going to their stores for 5 years to look for the collectible lighthouses in their Blue Waters Collection, are disappointed not to have found the product in their stores this year, and that you would like to continue your collection.

Q. Where can I print out an updated collector’s checklist?

A. collectors check list update 04282010

Q. Can I buy these lighthouse products from you?

A. I am sorry to say that we do not sell to the public. The lighthouses are sold at Walmart Stores nationwide during the holiday season. Unfortunately, we or the stores no longer have any remaining inventory of past editions.

Q. Where can I purchase the current year’s lighthouse products?

A. The current year’s editions can be purchased at Walmart Stores in the U.S. during the fourth quarter of each year.

Q. Where can I purchase past editions of these lighthouse products?

A. We have seen these collectibles in the secondary market, on sites such as eBay, once in a while. We understand some collectors have had luck using a “saved search” on eBay, to be alerted when something is listed.

Q. How do I do a “saved search” on eBay?

A. Please go to www.ebay.com and click “Help” in the upper right corner and type “saved search” in the search. Or go to http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/savesearches.html#running

Q. Where can I learn more about these actual lighthouses?

Q. Where can I see pictures of the lighthouse products for next year?

A. Next year’s products have not been unveiled yet. Please check back from time to time for updates.

Thank you for your email and interest in The Official Authorized Lighthouse Seriesâ„¢. We enjoy hearing from collectors and hope that you have luck completing your collection.

Q. My Pomham Rocks Lighthouse doesn’t light when I install new batteries, what can I do?

A. We have noticed that it may depend on the battery brand used. Panasonic (Alkaline or Heavy Duty) have a longer tip on the positive end and may make the connection more readily within the safety battery compartment on the bottom of the lighthouse. Even though there is a spring that pushes the battery on one end, as AA battery lengths also slightly vary, the tolerance of the compartment itself may not account for the tolerances of the length of all battery tips. You might get it to work with a pair of Duracell batteries after trying a few, but it worked 100% of the time with Panasonic Alkaline, Energizer Alkaline and Sunbeam

batteries

Always use fresh batteries, each of the same brand and type. Please dispose of batteries properly and keep out of reach from children.

Q. I work for a lighthouse preservation society; how can our lighthouse organization participate in the OFFICIAL AUTHORIZED LIGHTHOUSE SERIES and have lighthouse modeled after the lighthouse?

A. Please send an email to lighthouse@fsgroup.net on behalf of your organization.

*All lighthouse products have a working, rotating LED light. Pomham Rocks will have a steady red LED light, as the actual lighthouse navigation aid is also steady red and does not blink or rotate. The same for Sequin Island, this product will have a stead white LED light for the same reason, to be authentic as possible. © FSG
